The Final Scene

By Evangelist John BJ Hall --

Have you ever felt that God’s hand was turned against you? Has it at times seemed that things were beyond hope, that everything in life was going wrong?

That is a common problem for man. Jesus said, “… He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:45 (KJV)

Job was a man who honored God with all that he possessed. When God pointed proudly to Job’s faithfulness, Satan said that Job only served God because he had a good life. He suggested that if God’s blessings were withheld from Job, that he would turn away from God.

God allowed Satan to test Job. The result of that test was Job’s response is given in Job 13:15-16 (KJV) “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. 16  He also shall be my salvation …”

When Jesus said that the sun rises on the evil and the good and rain falls on the just and the unjust, He was talking about the blessings and trials of life. We all experience them. Even the evilest individual in the world has good days. And the purest and holiest person has bad days.

The question is what you will do this day that will impact your future in the best possible way. If you trust in the Lord, as Job did, then your future is bright, no matter what happens in this world. You will know the blessings and joy of Heaven.

If you choose, on the other hand, to go your own way and depend on yourself and the things of the world, then your future is one of eternal separation from God and all that is good.

If you knew that today you were filming the final scene of your life, what choices would you make?

Where Will Your Life Lead?

Where will your life lead?
Where will it end?
What will your destiny be?
Give your heart to Jesus,
Let Him be your friend,
For all eternity.

Why won’t you let Him,
Come into your heart today?
Now won't you let Him,
Come into your heart to stay?

Come and let Jesus
Give you great joy.
He’ll give you peace within.
Bow down your pride
And open up your heart.
Jesus will cleanse you from sin.
