How
To Go To Heaven
The way to Heaven is clearly shown in
God's Holy Word. Though it is very simple, some have attempted to make it
very difficult. The one most important factor is that we realize the price
for the trip to Heaven has already been paid. Jesus paid it on Calvary with
His own life. He became the perfect sacrifice, the Priest that offers the
sacrifice and the King whom we serve.
The way to heaven begins when you
1. Admit that you are a sinner
What is sin? Very simply, sin is anything that
displeases God.
-
Romans 3:10 "There is no one
righteous, not even one" (NIV)

Romans 3:23 "For all have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
(NIV)

2. Recognize the price of sin
We must realize that there is a cost to pay when we
disobey God.

Romans 5:12 "Therefore, just as sin
entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way
death came to all men, because all sinned" (NIV)

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is
death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
(NIV)
We are not
able to pay the price for ourselves. We deserve nothing but death.

3. Acknowledge that Jesus paid
the price of sin
God made provision for what we could not do. He sent
his Son to take our place on the cross.

4. What you must do
-
Romans 10:9-13 "That if you
confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that
God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart
that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you
confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, 'Anyone who trusts in Him
will never be put to shame.' For there is no difference between Jew and
Gentile - The same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call
upon Him, For, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be
saved.'" (NIV)

You simply believe in your heart and
confess with your mouth, praying a simple pray like this:
Jesus, I know that I am a sinner.
I know that my sin separates me from you. I believe that you loved me so
much that you died on the cross for my sin. I know that you are the only one
who can forgive me and cleanse me. Please forgive me and take away my sin.
Change my life and give me eternal life. I trust in you, Jesus, for my
salvation. thank you for loving me and saving me. In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen.
